Summary/Abstract: Analysis of the three basic components of the work: object as a grantor of the pre­sented world, the presented world and the virtual addressee makes it possible to state that this poem in the context of Tvardovsky’s work aspires to the rank of artistic universum. In the con­ text of the post revolutionary Russian poetry Distance — behind the distance is a typologically new phenomenon. It can be described as a “lyrical journey”.
