Summary/Abstract: The history of medical simulation has many millennia and is inextricably linked with the development of medical knowledge, scientific and technological progress and military orders. Thus, the success of the chemical industry led to the emergence of plastic mannequins, the progress of computer technology has determined the creation of virtual simulators and patient simulators. The purpose of the study. Describe the historical stages of formation of simulation training of medical students. Research methodology. The article uses descriptive, bibliosemantic and historical-comparative methods. Discussion of the research results. The article reflects the history of the development of stimulation training in the world and, in particular, in Ukraine, the modern approach and the relevance of the introduction of simulation training in medical universities. The formation and structure of the training and practical center of simulation training, its role in the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the training of medical specialists are shown. Conclusions. Simulation training allows to increase assimilation of educational material, quality and efficiency of educational process, gives the chance not only to see and hear, but also to work on a mannequin, promotes formation of motivation of students to training.
