Summary/Abstract: The present article is composed by a number of considerations on the book of interviews with Mihail Diaconescu, man of culture, theologian, literary historian and aesthetician. The maestro’s thoughts are profoundly animated by his faith, but without orthodox “fundamentalism”. Mihail Diaconescu is an author who saves and restores the love of beauty and of homeland. The author’s major idea is that literature, music and arts are not just beautiful, but they also engage in the “theme of the existential journey” disguised in the most beautiful aspects of contemplation, interrogation and amazement.
