Summary/Abstract: The Apostolic Appointment letter of bishop Iliya Marinov, partially quoted in the historical tractate of Petar Bogdan, has not been published until now. Copy of the letter was recently found by the author in Archivio Segreto Vaticano. Its publication and translation is a neccesary step in the process of studying the historical work of Petar Bogdan and the Bulgarian Catholic community in the first half of the 17th century.
