Summary/Abstract: Starting from the idea that the translation of a monography requires a perfect knowledge of the approached subject, it might appear that the endeavour of the translator of this volume is indefensible without a profound knowledge of the all reported. A fine connoisseur of the evoked space, the translator does not take the place of the author but proves a complete understanding of the mechanisms setting in motion the world described by the novel written by Horia Liman. Writing the novel was an acknowledged process for Horia Liman and the translation of the novel is a project of the heart for Rodicăi Chira. Translating about Țara Oașului, Rodica Chira ends a biographical sequence started on that territory impregnated with primitive elements and pagan rituals.
