Summary/Abstract: This study examines the impact of government spending (education, health, infrastructure, economic stability and justice distribution) on economic performance in Iraq. The study employs the Iraqi government expenditure data from 2005 to 2018 and conduct a regression analysis to find the significant level of each dimension under the five sectors in Iraq. The results showed that life expectancy at birth, size of health spending, percentage of population connected to sewerage networks, number of internet service providers, infant mortality rate, size of spending on education and registration in primary education have significant effect on government performance. Therefore, government should provide good education, health, infrastructure, economic stability and justice distribution to the citizens in order to achieve increase in GDP growth rate or growth rate per capital and the employment rate.
