Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify and examine existing indicators of the performance and maintenance of the railway infrastructure in the Serbian Railways as well as their use, to analyze their usefulness and planning of the railway infrastructure maintenance. The study found a structured, reliable and cost-effective method of using indicators of maintenance, such as OEE values to facilitate work and maintenance of decision-making process in the short and long term perspective of the railway infrastructure management. This paper presents the adaptation and proposal of ORIE form which will meet specific requirements for calculating the value of Serbian Railways. With the help of the case study, it has been calculated for three relations of the railway in the Section for the infrastructure of the junction Pozarevac for the year 2012 that the value of ORIE based on real data differs from 36.03% to 61.8%.
