Summary/Abstract: Introduction. People with intellectual disabilities are much more likely to be exposed to various types of health disorders compared to people who are without functional or physical problems. These disorders include frequent occurrence of obesity typical for people with intellectual disabilities (NI), limited physical health/condition and reduced motor skills. Methods: The aim of the research is to assess obesity, physical condition and motor skills of the young people with intellectual disabilities that are based on the literature. Results: The research study has presented the results of the health condition and physical trim of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities. The aim of the research is to highlight the problem of assessing obesity, physical trim and motor skills. Conclusion: Intellectual disability and multiple diseases occurring together with existing deficits create additional barriers for an active lifestyle. This new public health problem should be solved by encouraging physical activity, promoting a healthy lifestyle and creating habits conducive to health aimed at the population of people with intellectual disabilities.
