Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to answer the research question of how the registered mediators reflect the performance of mediation. Although the exercise of mediation has its codified rules under the Mediation Act, our research was not focused on the law, but on examining the practice of mediation within this law. The data was obtained by empirical qualitative research using in-depth interviews with registered mediators. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the article consists of two parts. In the first part we describe the methodology of qualitative research. We focus on the research question, the research objective and the method used, we also acquaint with the design and structure of the case sample, as well as the methodology of collecting and analysing qualitative data based on data analysis and interpretation. In the second part we present a model of grounded theory of mediation performance.
