Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the nature of the relationship that exists between foreign trade and foreign direct investments in Romania during 1998-2006. Our pervious work so far proved that these variables are cointegrated. The analysis permits us to investigate if FDI can be a determinant of foreign trade on long run or vice versa
