THE CHALLENGES OF CULTURAL TOURISM OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Summary/Abstract: the challengies of defining cultural tourism also affects the state socio-economic policies of the Republic of Moldova. In this article the authors identify the most relevant definition of culturla tourism for the country, which will include three fundamental axes: the values, vestiges and lifestyle (cultural events) of the people. These axes are considered challenges for knowledge, experimentation and multilateral development. The identification of the pillars for the development of the tourist cultural relations is another objective established by the authors, as a result the stakeholders in the field were highlighted and the cultural-tourist heritage management plan was investigated as an effective tool for their synergistic activity particularly in the strengthening of all the cultural vestiges of the Republic of Moldova. Based on the study conducted by the authors, it was considered necessary to establish correctly the priorities of the cultural and tourist development fields, as well as to reduce the huge dissonances between the two sectors that often operate within different governmental and administrative structures, which are disconnected or poorly coordinated
