Summary/Abstract: In the Middle East, the uprisings that started from 2010 to date shook the region to its core. Even though these ongoing uprisings didn’t result in the expected outcome due to several reasons, the effect of the policy conducted by the USA at that time is undeniable. In this work, the American policy of the Arab Spring during the Obama era is analyzed. As a research problem, the article tackles the question of whether or not during the Arab Spring, the Obama administration’s low-intensity policy played a role in the undesired outcome of those uprisings. In this context, the US policy during the Arap Spring has been discussed separately in Libya, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, Egypt and Bahrein. This work general hypothesis is that, according to the realist theory, during this process the US acted in conformity to its national interest and did not take in account the democratic aspirations of each country. It can be asserted that the USA application of different policies towards the uprisings in countries of that region played a role in the prolongation of those uprisings to the present day.
