COMPARISON OF THE MOTIVATION LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS IN ARAB SCHOOLS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

Summary/Abstract: Research; It has been carried out to determine whether the motivation levels of students in the secondary education and secondary schools in primary education differ according to some variables. 2019-2020 Academic Year, 7-8 in Arab Iraq Al Rafidain College, Ur College and Ecyal Ninova Schools in Çankaya, Ankara. Grade 9-12. Of the grade students, a total of 304 students were made, of which 133 were girls and 171 were boys. "Physical Activity Participation Motivation Scale", which was developed by Tekkurşun-Demir and Cicioğlu (2018), consists of 3 sub-dimensions and 16 items. According to the research result, the total internal consistency coefficient of the scale is 0,691. The participants in the research; 16 years old, male, 12th grade, high level of education, in other words, graduate graduates, parents and non-regular sports were observed to be predominant. As a result of the research; Factors such as age, gender, education class, education level of the mother and education level of the father do not affect the motivation to participate in physical activity. However, regular sports practice affects motivation to participate in physical activity. It was observed that 6 sub-hypotheses were supported with 1 main hypothesis, and 12 sub-hypotheses were not supported with 5 main hypotheses.
