Summary/Abstract: : In this text the authors tackle the specifics of the translation reception of a dramatic text, the criteria for the applicability of theatrical translation and the characteristics of Attic tragedy reception in Bulgaria and thus, the factors that require new translation approaches adequate to the needs of the audience.The authors propose an experimental approach to conducting the approbation of a new translation, introducing the concept of actional reception: a workshop with the participation of spectators, obtaining feedback through interviews and discussions on an unpublished translation of Euripides’ Electra by D. Tabakova commissioned by the DPT Ivan Radoev – Pleven.
