Summary/Abstract: The study draws attention to the fundamental attributes of the poetics of Peter Čanecký, a prominent representative of Slovak costume design. The author concentrates on productions created in collaboration with her long-time colleague, director Roman Polák, and on a sample of concrete theatre titles she ventures to name and describe the basic features of Čanecký’s visual poetics.
