Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper has compiled a Dictionary of so-called false friends for French and Polish. These are mainly “occidentalisms”, i.e. terms borrowed from Latin and Romance languages, which have reached Polish but changed their meanings. This paper explains to its readers how the dictionary was made and how to use it.
