Summary/Abstract: The pottery from seasons 2008–2009 came from the two phases of use of the burial ground west of the pyramid of Netjerykhet: the late Old Kingdom (Lower Necropolis) and the Late Period through Ptolemaic and Roman times (Upper Necropolis). Nonetheless, an examination of the material has demonstrated, much more clearly than in previous seasons, the presence of ceramic material from other periods, that is, Predynastic/Early Dynastic and early Old Kingdom.
