Summary/Abstract: The present article proposes an analysis of the theory of secularization in connection to the claim that modernity’s technological advancement, scientific progress and pluralism result in religious disenchantment and disaffiliation, as well as in connection to the more recent theories that contemporary society is, in fact, postsecular.
