Summary/Abstract: Duška Radosavljević’ s paper is an excerpt from her book entitled Theatre-Making. Interplay Between Text and Performance in the 21st Century. The text deals with the contemporary phenomena of porous dramaturgies, an earlier research lead by Radosavljević together with Cathy Turner. The author investigates the philosophical and art theoretical background of the porous works. Following Jean-Luc Nancy’s ideas, she considers this kind of audience not an essentialized one, with the sense of community imposed from above, but as a collection of individuals brought into a situation of ‘being together’, which involves both the actors and the spectators. The author demonstrates and refines her ideas through the analysis of the works of three contemporary companies (Tim Crouch, Onroerend Goed, The Shadow Casters).
