Summary/Abstract: Based on an in-depth survey of the literature, the purpose of the paper is to explore the psychology of addictive smartphone behavior. Using and replicating data from BankMyCell, Common Sense Media, Deloitte, Insights West & iamota, Northpoint Washington, Pew Research Center, SlickText, Statista, Tech Jury, and Tiger Mobiles, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the relationship between smartphone addiction risk, anxiety symptom severity, and depression psychopathology. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
