European business activity in the registration of industrial designs and trademarks

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of activity of enterprises in registering industrial designs and trademarks in Poland comparing to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. It was found that Poland’s most activity in this field was observed in the 90’s of the last century. In Central and Eastern Europe the most active in registering industrial designs and trademarks per million population were Estonia and Latvia, while the lowest was observed in Slovakia and Hungary.
