Summary/Abstract: Discourse, the essential form of communication in society from time immemorial, has the role of informing about the life of the community and of streamlining its smooth development, thus permanently generating new contexts. The way in which public actors communicate can change the perception of the recipient-citizens on the social realities in which they live by creating particular representations according to the mental maps they possess. In this article we attempt to identify the effects of social and political crises on the structure and logic of formal discourses made by public actors and to demonstrate that these discourses can create tensions in moments of risks to national security
