Summary/Abstract: The Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) is a newly introduced concept, designed for the evaluation of land forces of allied militaries. The concept, that sets up a common set of criteria, is about to be embedded in the allied military structures. In this paper I would like to present a number of considerations regarding the CREVAL evaluators’ competencies, based on the experience acquired in the NATO command structure.
