Summary/Abstract: Along with the wide palette of challenges the Ukraine crisis created also the opportunity for revising the geostrategic level and the international relations framework. Today, we find ourselves in the confusing position of calling to an end the principle stating that peace and stability were meant to be immoavable in Europe after the fall of the Iron Curtain. It seems like we are back to square one, where concepts like globalization, soft power, or security through interdependence fail to characterize the facts on the ground. Beside the clash on the battle field, we are facing a great dilemma whether we are abruptly heading towards an aggressive revisionism in the global affairs, or we should stick firmly to international law, still playing by the rules, despite the challenges posed by rogue countries.
