Summary/Abstract: This paper is an attempt at another interpretation of the poems In Memory of My Feelings byFrank O’Hara and Cover by Andrzej Sosnowski, in the light of their autothematic motifs. Thepaper focuses first on a close examination of the relationship between the two poems, looking atboth differences (language, emblems, symbols, contexts) and similarities, trying to assess howO’Hara influenced Sosnowski. Later, the focus shifts to the relationship between the two poemsand a discussion of a possible interpretation of Sosnowski’s poem in terms of interpoetics.
