Summary/Abstract: This article treatises two novels of Italian author Curzio Malaparte, Kaputt (1944) and The Skin (1949), but also talks about permanent dilemmas like these: can horror become an art? Is it explained, understood and justified in art and through art? Or is it meant in fact, that horror only transcends in art and through it, because everything could be treatised and manipulated by art? This is a philosophical essay about writer and writing.
