Spending on culture and recreation in household budgets of Europeans

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to present the diversity of spending on culture and recreation, and their share in total expenditure in European households, with particular attention paid to the Polish place in international comparisons. The use of cluster analysis allowed to divide the European countries due to expenditure on recreation and culture. There are very large differences in this respect in Europe. In most European countries during the economic crisis, however, a stabilization or slow down of such spending was observed.
