Summary/Abstract: The paper presents results of a study which attempted to use spatial econometric methods in indirect estimation of certain characteristics for small, medium-sized and large enterprises in the provinces of Poland. To improve the accuracy of the estimate, the taxonomy elements were taken into account, wherein the spatial autocorrelation was used to identify groups of similar provinces. The study was relied on data from the DG-1 survey conducted by the Statistical Office in Poznan, which provides the basis for most of the short-term indicators used to describe enterprise activity in Poland.
