Summary/Abstract: It is very important for the gifted people to be directed to the field they are gifted and to make career planning in this direction, both individually and socially. When the literature is examined, it is seen that there are very limited studies about career planning, orientation and characteristics of special talents in this direction. It is thought that working on positive career planning of special talents and discussing the results will contribute to the field in order to provide more effective career counseling services for these children. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the positive career planning attitudes of special talented high school students and to compare these attitudes with the normal population. The sample of the study consists of 44 special gifted students studying in Sivas and Kırşehir Science and Art Centers (BİLSEM) and 62 high school students in high schools in these provinces, 106 high school students from different levels. Personal Information Form and Career Future Scale (KARGEL) adapted to Turkish by Kalafat (2012) were used as data collection tools. According to the analysis results; the arithmetic means of the scores obtained from career adaptation, career optimism and knowledge dimensions, which are sub-dimensions of positive career planning attitudes of special talented high school students, were found to be high. According to gender, positive career planning attitudes of gifted students do not show a significant difference. It has been observed that the students with special talents who have more education time in BILSEM have higher positive career planning attitudes. Positive career planning attitudes of the talented students who think that the education they receive in BİLSEM are effective in their career goals are higher than the others. In terms of career optimism, there is a significant difference in favor of gifted students between special gifted high school students and normal population; however, there was no significant difference in terms of career adaptation and knowledge.
