ASPECTE ACTUALE PRIVIND MIGRAȚIA ÎN SPAȚIUL SCHENGEN
CURRENT ISSUES REGARDING MIGRATION IN THE SCHENGEN AREA

Summary/Abstract: The great transformations of the contemporary world and openings to new spheres of interests led to the creation of regions of instability around the world, with serious implications in terms of achieving security in local, european and even international. The main sources of instability are deriving from socioeconomic and political difficulties of developing states and especially those underdeveloped. These issues inevitably lead to increased migration in problem areas to developed countries and have often taken the form of illegal migration. Aside mentioned aspects, there are others - the perpetuation of tensions and conflicts order ethnic, racial or religious - which, like the first, are generating migration.
