EXAMINATION OF DANCE CONGRESSES IN TURKEY CONDUCTED (EXAMPLE OF INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE CONGRESS)

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to investigate The International Music and Dance Congress in different categories. In this way, the course of the first day to this day to reveal the course of the congress. In this research, dance presentations presented at The International Music and Dance Congresses between 2015-2019 were taken as samples. A total of 108 papers were analysed by content analysis. All the papers presented were obtained from the abstract books of The International Music and Dance Congress. Abstracts were classified under gender, country, number of researchers, institutions where researchers worked, methods and research categories. As a result of the research; male researchers (56.82%) participated more in the congress; congress participation rate of Turkey (81.97%) was higher; single-authored studies (62.96%) were higher in the reports; the attendance of the congress from the most different institutions belongs to 2015 (25.32%); it was found that the most qualitative research method (89.81%) was used in the researches and the most research was done in the field research (33.33%) category.
