Summary/Abstract: As a result of the change of communication paradigm, a new communication situation has arisen, which is encountered by journalists and prosumer people more and more often and which interpretation is contained in this article. The verification of the current news definition, which is the basic material for both informational content and journalistic content, becomes the starting point. Therefore, the concept of the name of a new media type, taking into account the traditional point of reference: social news. It should be noticed that social news does not replace the classical news, but it exists next to it on the media genology grid, as well as in many examples of media products. Social media news retains the form of a classic news, while it deconstructs its current content layer.
