Summary/Abstract: Curiosity is an important sensation for human beings. To learn about the future events and the desire to live a step forward directed human beings towards different practices in the framework of beliefs. One of the practices is the comments related to twitch of some organs. The texts which became a literary genre and came to be named as segir-name have been the source to some disciplines such as language, culture, anatomy, folklore etc. The interpretations made based on these twitches, which are described as the slight movement of the skin and muscles under the skin in the body, are called seğir-name (ihtilaç-name/ilm-i ihtilaç). The focus of the study is text that can be accessed digitally in the library of Leipzig University. This text is a prose seğir-name titled as Hâźâ Ta‛bír-est found in multi-textual manuscript. In the present study, firstly, some information about twitching and seğir-names will be provided, and then the content of the above-mentioned prose seğir-name will be analyzed. There is not any information about the writer and the date when it was scribed. On the basis of the linguistic peculiarities of the notes which consist of 122 twitch it is possible that the text belongs to Old Oghuz Turkish.
