Summary/Abstract: Decorative Art from Satu Mare During Middle Age. Medieval Embroideries in Satu Mare County Museum Collection. Beside architecture and painting, the medieval embroidery has a representative contribution to entire Christian world. The purpose of the author is to present some medieval embroideries from Satu mare County Museum collection, having a special artistic and historical value, that served for Holy table cover in Reformed church. These textiles are very interesting from historical point of view, because they are identical to those ones with lay destination. For this type of textiles, the ornamentation is identical for both lay and clerical embroideries, all the more so as they could change destination in both directions (the lay pieces can have a religious utilization and conversely).
