Summary/Abstract: Lime brick construction is a method that has been going on for many years in many parts of Anatolia. This type of construction has now become more of a tradition than a technique. The use of these bricks is often found in old Anatolian houses, in isketoz buildings, in various masonry structures, in the construction of vineyard - garden and village kilns. It is still used in the making of bread and pita ovens today. Another area where Lime bricks are used is the construction of a ground stove or “traditional oven” as folk expression. Such structures are often constructed outside the home, in gardens and courtyards. They can be built in a garden, in an enclosed seating area, in a camellia or in garden huts. In general the construction of a ground stove with lime brick is almost identical to the construction of a brick kiln. The difference is that the ground stoves have a square plan. In this study, the construction stages and construction techniques of a traditional ground stove were described. The problems encountered during the practice and the stages of practice were addressed systematically and opinions and suggestions were given.
