Polish historians emigrants’ millieu after the Second World War as a community of values

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to analyze the post-1945 milieu of Polish historians in exile through the lense of values they stood up for in their academic careers. I am trying to answer following questions: 1. What values constituted the general outlook that inspired actions of the Polish historians-emigrees? 2. Is it possible to identify a hierarchy among them and, if yes, what sort of hierarchy it was? What role did these values play in historians’ academic practice?
