Financial Literacy: A Research for Students Taking Accounting and Finance Education

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – This research was carried out to determine whether there is a significant difference between the selected variables and the financial literacy levels of students studying at associate and undergraduate level and to determine the financial literacy success levels of the students. Design/methodology/approach – The universe of the research consists of undergraduate and graduate students who received accounting and finance education at Kayseri University Social Sciences Vocational School and Faculty of Applied Sciences. In this study, descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. Among non-random sampling methods, a questionnaire was applied to 219 students with quota sampling method. SPSS 23.0, a statistical program, was used to analyze the collected data. T-Test and (ANOVA) one-way analysis of variance were applied to the normally distributed data . Cronbach Alpha test was conducted for the reliability of the survey.
