Summary/Abstract: The recent bloody past of Cambodia is still a raw wound for its victims and a topic of international debate with regard to the perpetrators of the crimes against humanity. While François Bizot, a former detainee of one of the Red Khmers’ camps, is a witness to the atrocities that have been committed in Cambodia under Pol Pot and his acolytes, “Comrade” Dutch is the former chief of the camp, responsible for the torturing and death of 40,000 people. How do they cope with their past?
