Suburbanization processes in the area of Poznań

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with issues related to suburbanization processes. The first part presents the essence, conditions and consequences of these processes. The second part, on the other hand, contains an analysis of suburbanization processes that have taken place in the last twenty years in the suburban area of Poznań. Particular attention was paid to examining the quality and functionality of spatial development of housing estates and the motives for the settlement of the population in the municipalities of the suburban area. An analysis of changes in the development of suburbanization observed in the area of Poznań in the years 2000–2019 was also carried out on the basis of conducted surveys and statistical surveys.
