Summary/Abstract: This paper is an attempt to define the necessity of conducting thorough research on the modern librarians, who have the task to carry out the goals and objectives of today’s libraries. The paper aims to introduce the methodology and scope of such a research project. More specifically, the internal library environment and the various factors related to organisational activities. It also touches upon the expectations that come with research of that sort – revealing the nature and specificity of librarians, their psychological profile, their conceptual frameworks and attitudes, and the variables affecting their work.
