Summary/Abstract: The minority of Hungarians live abroad of Hungary – except from Slovenia – in the Croatian Dráva-angle. The Hungarians settled there, in the biblical way blessed territory early. The first pioneer of the Baranyian Reformation was Mihály Sztárai, a preacher from Laskó, who was the priest in court of Péter Perényi, who was the Baron from Siklós, the crown keeper and even a candidate for the crown. Mihály Sztárai wrote most of his opuses in Laskó. On the 16th and 17th August, 1576 there was a council in Hercegszőlős, where 40 preachers attended. There they phrased and wrote canons, so they could regulate the lives of the Hungarians in Baranya. The council was for hundreds of years very determinate and its effect is also perceptible today in the Dráva-angle and in Hungary, too. Its relevancy lies in the fact, that that schools had to be established and the ecclesiastical registrations had to be made by law
