Summary/Abstract: In this paper, it is intended to explore whether individual creativity has a mediating impact in the relationship between perception of sustainability and social innovation behavior. It is considered that universities have an important role in turning efforts on sustainability, social innovation and individual creativity into benefits, and the awareness level of academicians working in these institutions is relatively higher. Therefore, the universe of research consists of academics who work at state universities in Turkey during the 2018-2019 academic year. Participants were chosen through easy accessible sampling. Sustainability Perception Scale (Kaya, 2013), Social Innovation Scale (Halaç et al., 2014) and Individual Creativity Scale (Tierney, 1999) were used to collect data. The analyzes were conducted on 139 questionnaires. Anova test, t test, correlation and mediator variable analysis were performed by using SPSS 23.0 program to test the hypotheses of the study. According to the results, Perception of Sustainability has a significant influence both on Social Innovation and Individual Creativity while Individual Creativity has a significant effect on Social Innovation. In addition, Individual Creativity was seemed to be the partial mediator in the relationship between Perception of Sustainability and Social Innovation.
