Summary/Abstract: Domestic violence is characterized by the exustence of a direct threat against the woman in her own home, which leads, in many cases, to her impossibility of asking for help. For this reason it is essential for any kind of action taken to ensure the security of the victim, by imposing a period of physical distance so that the agressor ends the threats or abuse. All the measures stipulated by the criminal code will have no effect if they are not correctly implemented.
