THE IMPORTANCE AND ROLE OF LEADERSHIP IN MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF POLICE

Summary/Abstract: In order to ensure and maintain the integrity of the police, and to prevent them from corruption, Ministry of Interior and the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police, shall develop and implement consistently corruption prevention policies, efficient and coordinated reflecting adherence to the fundamental principles of the rule of law and good management of specific problems of public order and security institutions with the principles relating to integrity, transparency and accountability of police. Every leader of the police, regardless of hierarchic is, shall encourage, in particular, integrity, honesty and responsibility subordinate to the police. In these circumstances, the new Romanian police reforms and improvements, I believe that we must ensure the restoration of confidence in the police and by following the laws and rules imposed without any discrimination and concessions.
