Summary/Abstract: The article traces the life and work of D.Nozharov – his teaching career and his role in the revolutionary movement. Forced to move from Nevrokop to Sofia, D. Nozharov worked as merchant, teacher and freelance journalist for various revival period newspapers. When Vasil Levsky laid the foundations of the Secret Revolutionary Committee in Sofia, D.Nozharov was among the first who joined in. In 1872 Levsky aware of Macedonia's special mission and Nozharov's personal assets, sent him to Eastern Macedonia to lead the revolutionary propaganda efforts there.
