Summary/Abstract: The archivist Rumyana Pencheva has read the diary of the writer Veselin Andreev, which is to be published in its entirety for the first time by the Riva Publishing House. Its publication is a valuable contribution to the Bulgarian memoirs. The diary is a testimony of the times and morals of the controversial period 1944–1989, revealing (or at least suggesting) the intellectual's life, the belief, doubts and the collapse of his ideals.
