Summary/Abstract: The current research aims at exploring the associations between prosocial behaviours, psychological well-being andgratitude in a sample of adolescents identified as having problematic, challenging behaviours and mild intellectualdisabilities. Various research results show that both gratitude and prosocial behaviours might have a significant role inthe positive development in adolescents and adults. Using measures adapted on the Romanian population and someadapted for the current study, we collected data from a sample of 30 vulnerable, clinically healthy adolescents, enrolledin a special vocational school. We found low levels of gratitude and psychological well-being in our sample, as well ashigher levels of emotional problems in girls compared to boys. Our results show that prosocial behaviours are significantlyassociated with lower peer problems, while prosocial behaviours and gratitude have a close to significance interactioneffect on adolescents’ well-being. Several possible implications both for research and clinical and educational practicesin the service of vulnerable adolescents are discussed.
