Summary/Abstract: This article presents the translations of literary works from Modern Greek to Slovak language. For this purpose a brief description of political, social and historical events is needed, not only in Slovakia, but also in the Czech Republic, in order to understand the circumstances behind the production of translations from Modern Greek Literature into Slovak. The article provides a brief overview of existing translations from Modern Greek language, focusing on book translations.
