Summary/Abstract: The library of the Friars Minor Order of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province is located in the Franciscan monastery in Katowice-Panewniki. It was founded in 1983. The library space and its possible development are influenced by many factors related to the current state of the Order. The monastery’s library performs various functions, i.a. providing a support service for the monks’ intellectual activities.
