Summary/Abstract: The article brings to the reader's attention a very interesting discussion of the term "competitiveness" given the most dangerous challenge that comes from economists' interference in explaining competition law. The author draws a parallel with the fable "Turtle and the Rabbit" which explains excellently the improper nature of the term "competitiveness" in competition law. At the same time, starting from the premise that both the practitioner and theorist of competition law do not find the comfort of ensuring that the application of public policy rules of this branch of law is a given, the International Scientific Conference "Challenges in regulating and enforcing competition law" held in 14 -15 November 2019, went out of the ordinary, as it aimed to verify the limits and obstacles of this branch of law. The conference was organized by the Romanian Competition Council together with the Center for Studies in Competition Law within the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, held in the Great Hall of the Palace of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest, and had as general topic of discussion which causes, makes difficult or even impedes either the regulation or the application of competition law.
